Latest unemployment figures for Sussex show the jobless rate is stable.
There are now 25,660 claimants in Sussex, down from 27,263 in June.
Commenting on the figures, Mark Froud, Chief Executive of Sussex Enterprise said: “National figures released today were slightly worse than expected, but the employment picture in Sussex has remained stable.
“We’ve always said that recovery will be bumpy and until summer next year things will still feel shaky.
“We’ll see ups and downs in unemployment levels across the country over the next 18 months, but Sussex is well placed to create jobs. If the coalition answers the call of businesses and reduces the red tape burden, there’s no need for despondency.”
