Ambulance service to hold meeting
Uckfield residents are invited to a public meeting organised by the South East Coast Ambulance Service.
Changes have already been carried out within the service with the aim of taking specialised treatment to patients rather than transporting patients to treatment.
Now the organisation has applied to become a foundation trust which, it claims, which give it the freedom to make improvements at a quicker rate leading to a higher level of care.
The public meeting, to be held at the Civic Centre between 2 and 4pm, is part of a 12-week consultation.
People attending will have chance to learn some basic resuscitation skills as well as find out more about ambulance service plans for the future and vote on the proposals.
