Councillors oppose plans to realign part of Lime Tree Avenue

Uckfield Town Council is objecting to plans for two new homes in Downsview Crescent which would involve realigning part of Lime Tree Avenue.

The council's plans sub-committee which met last night said building two new homes next to number 6 Downsview Crescent would represent over-development of the site.

Councillors also opposed re-structuring historic Lime Tree Avenue and were concerned about the effect of development on newly planted lime trees.

The objection will go to Wealden Council which will make the final decision on whether to approve the plan.
