Council bids to reduce 'bad debt'
Efforts are being made by Uckfield Town Council to reduce the number of bad debts it incurs.
Councillors have been told a £300 debt from a wedding has now been paid in full.
They also asked questions, a report states, “relating to the funfair and it was noted that this had been referred to the debt collector”.
Members suggested in future full payment is taken in advance and this idea is to be considered by the relevant town council committee.
