It's Uckfield's Big Day on Saturday
It's Uckfield's Big Day out on Saturday.
This is one of the most popular events in the Uckfield Festival calendar.
Children from six primary schools have been making giant sticklebacks, kingfishers and watervoles which they will carry in a procession through the High Street.
The procession, which has a River theme, begins at 1.30pm at Uckfield Community Technology College and will be accompanied by drums, bands, floats and street theatre. The UCTC carnival group Spiritus will also be involved.
It will proceed down and up the High Street finishing at the Luxford Field where a day of events is planned.
There will be a French market and arena events with the fun starting at 10am and running until 4pm.
Tickets for other festival events are on sale at Limelight and will also be available at the Luxford Field during the Big Day.
