Fifty businesses represented at Uckfield firm's anniversary party
About 50 businesses were represented at a party last week to celebrate the tenth anniversary of Uckfield company Blue Planet Internet Solutions.
The event was held at The Hop Barn, just off Uckfield High Street.
Guests enjoyed a glass of bubbly and canapés and Blue Planet directors, father and son Paul and Mark Vaesen, cut a cake which was decorated with the company logo.
The business was formed in 2001 and has designed hundreds of websites since which have grown in complexity as technology has improved.
Five people now work for Blue Planet, at 39a New Town, Uckfield. Paul Vaesen remains a director but is no longer involved in the day-to-day running of the business.
Mark said, after the party on Friday, that he was very pleased to see clients, relatives and friends under one roof celebrating the anniversary.
“Every one of these people is special to me and it means a lot to bring them together. Some know of each other, even work together, but had never met before and it was good to perform those introductions.”
Also joining in the celebration were Mark’s wife Nikki and his mother Daphne.
Winner of a bottle of Champagne in a business card draw was Francis Wallace of solicitors Rix and Kay.
Plans are now being made for the future of Blue Planet and top of the agenda is a move to new bigger premises. “We’re looking forward to the next ten years,” said Mark.
