Bowls club plans new club house
The club house belonging to Maresfield Lawn Bowls Club could be demolished and a new one with more than twice the floor space built to replace it.
Plans have been submitted to Wealden Council on the grounds that the existing clubhouse, within Maresfield Recreation Ground and next to Maresfield High Street, is in a poor state of repair and too small.
The new building would be single storey and have an internal area of 72 sq m. It would include toilet facilities, changing rooms and a large open plan, flexible space. The existing floor space is 34 sq m.
