Bridge Farm Road plans withdrawn
A scheme to build four residential apartments and a commercial unit next to Uckfield police station has been withdrawn.
The site, at the corner of Bridge Farm Road and the High Street, is at present a private garden.
One objection to the plan was from Sussex Police which said the height of the proposed building would prevent use of the town centre CCTV cameras which rely on "line of sight" transmission to receivers on the side of the police station.
The town council declined to support the application because of "insufficient parking provided" in an area which has parking problems.
