Uckfield bypass is resurfaced
Re-surfacing work is under way on the Uckfield bypass with temporary speed limits of 30mph and 10mph in force in places.
There were long tail-backs in town as a result with traffic queued back as far as Browns Lane at some stages.
The speed limits are in force on the A22 Uckfield bypass/Maresfield bypass from the midpoint between the Copwood Roundabout and Little Horsted Roundabout north to the midpoint between Batts Bridge Roundabout and Blackdown Roundabout.
The limits also apply on the A26 Uckfield bypass from the mid point between Budletts roundabout and Blackdown roundabout.
The East Sussex County Council order will be in force until Thursday, September 30, according to a public notice.
