Winning photographs chosen to appear in Uckfield calendar

Winning photographs have been selected to appear in the Uckfield calendar for 2012.
The judges of a competition to choose the best pictures were Uckfield Mayor Cllr John Carvey, town photographer Ron Hill and secretary of the Sussex Photographic Federation Jean Holmwood.
Apparently there were a record number of entries and it took about two hours to choose the winners. Three of the photographers Diane Short, Sarah Hill and Gavin Rainbow each had two of their pictures selected to appear.

- June, Mary Short,
- July, Diane Short
- August, Gavin Rainbow,
- September, Sue Garland
- October, Alex Butcher
- November, Ian Carter
- December, Gavin Rainbow.
The free calendar will be available in December.
The theme of next year's calendar competition will be Uckfield at Work, Rest and Play. The competition is open to amateur photographers of all ages who live within the town.
