Request to keep caravans on Halland site all year round

Owners of a caravan park in Halland are hoping to be able to allow static caravans to remain on the site all year round.

Currently there is a restriction which says no caravan should be on the site at Honeys Green, Halland, between November 1 and March 31.

A planning application has been submitted to Wealden Council by Mrs Sue Lavender asking for the restriction to be removed.

The park has permission for eight static caravans and 22 touring caravans and documents before the council say: "Demand for the occupation of the static caravans is continually increasing and there is not only a demand for more mobile homes but also for longer periods of time. However potential occupiers are put off by the current time period arrangement as they wish to have access to the mobile homes throughout the year.

"The appliant has lost customers to other caravan parks in the Sussex area where occupation is allowed throughout the year."
