Brief drawn up in bid to relieve Uckfield traffic congestion
A brief for commissioning design and costing of a scheme to relieve traffic congestion in Uckfield has been prepared.
East Sussex County Council has confirmed to Wealden District Council that the work is scheduled to go out to tender shortly and that findings will be available by the autumn.
The district council has been told at that stage a view on going out to public consultation will be required.
A report to the district's cabinet local development framework sub-committee meeting on Thursday says there remains concern at the need to rely on others to fund such a scheme.
