Plans for two new homes next to The Drive in Uckfield
Plans have been submitted for a pair of semi-detached homes to be built on land next to 2 The Drive, off Church Street, Uckfield.
There was a similar proposal in 2008 but that was withdrawn to seek resolution of drainage issues.
The latest application says the design and siting has been amended to allow drainage to be diverted between the existing house and the proposed homes.
It says the access to the site, which would also serve 2 The Drive, would be five metres wide as requested by the highway authority when the previous application was assessed.
Documents accompanying the planning application say: "The development will help to provide much needed small dwellings assisting those who wish to live and work in the area.
"The proposal represents a more efficient and effective use of land within the development boundary without harming the character of the area."
