Opposition to plans for new homes in The Drive, Uckfield
Uckfield town councillors have opposed plans for two semi-detached homes to be built on land adjacent to 2 The Drive.
They have recorded “extreme” concerns regarding natural waterways draining into the area which “is always wet and often pools water”.
They also say the design of the houses is not in keeping with the area and they are concerned about safety of traffic access on to Church Road.
“This is a green area that should not be built on,” members of the plans committee agreed.
Wealden Council will make the final decision on the planning application.
