Full list of election candidates for Uckfield and villages
Nominations have closed for the local elections on May 5 and candidates have been announced.
Seats are being contested on Wealden District Council, Uckfield Town Council and parish councils.
And in what is a “super Thursday” polling day, votes will also be cast in a referendum on the voting system for UK Parliamentary elections.
Polling stations will be open from 7am to 10pm.

Wealden District Council nominations for seats in Uckfield and nearby are:
Buxted and Maresfield (inc Hadlow Down) (2 seats): Norman Buck* (C), Dan Docker (UKIP), David Neeves (L), Ken Ogden* (C).
Chiddingly and East Hoathly: Jonathan Banatvala (L), Barby Dashwood-Hall* (C), Barbara Holbrook LD).
Cross in Hand/Five Ashes: Jonica Fox* (C) – no contest.
Danehill, Fletching, Nutley, (inc Little Horsted) (2 seats): Roy Galley* (C), Kirsten Morris (L), Peter Roundell (C), Martha Whittle (LD).
Framfield (inc Blackboys): Linda Graham (LD), Ann Newton* (C), Elisabeth Rumbold (L).
Uckfield Central: Claire Dowling* (C), Jason Scott-Taggart (L), Paul Sparks(LD).
Uckfield New Town: Helen Firth (C), Sarah Hall (LD), David Sudbery (L).
Uckfield North (2 seats): John Collins (LD), Louise Eastwood (C), Michael Lunn (C), BruceMeredeen (L),Alan Whittaker* (LD).
Uckfield Ridgewood: John Carvey (C), Vanessa Setford-Smith (L), Dorothy Sparks (LD).
Paul Sparks is currently a member of the council, representing Uckfield North.
Councillors who are standing down from Wealden District Council include Sylvia Martin (Danehill, Fletching, Nutley, including Little Horsted) and Mrs Carol Sweetland (Uckfield New Town).
The Uckfield Ridgewood seat is currently vacant following the resignation on February 7 of Mr Bob Sweetland.
In each of the three wards of Uckfield Town Council there are insufficient nominations for there to be an election. Those nominated are:
Uckfield Central: John Carvey* (C), Helen Firth* (C), Edward Marsh (C) – no contest.
Uckfield New Town: Sarah Hall* (LD), Jeremy Hallett* (LD), Jim Molesworth-Edwards (C) – no contest.
Uckfield North: Duncan Bennett* (C), Sam Bryant (no party designation stated), John Collins (LD), Louise Eastwood* (C), Thelma Rumbelow* (Independent), Alan Whittaker* (LD) – no contest.
Uckfield Ridgewood: Michael Harker* (LD), Marion Rowland (C), Ian Smith* (Independent Uckfield First Community Campainger) – no contest.
Jim Molesworth-Edwards is a current town councillor for the central ward.
Standing down from the council are Anne Parker, Len Ashby, Dorothy Sparks and Bob Sweetland.
