Recycling bank for small electrical items coming to Uckfield

Recycling bank for small electrical items coming to Uckfield

It will soon be possible to recycle small electrical items in Uckfield.

Wealden Council is to install WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) Collection Banks at ten of their recycling points in the district, including the Luxford Field car park.

The WEEE banks will be provided and serviced by the waste management company Veolia.

Goods which can be recycled include phones, remote controls, VCRs, digiboxes, electronic toys, kettles, hairdryers, shavers, electric toothbrushes, small kitchen appliances, irons, small DIY tools, clocks, radios.

Larger items such as TV monitors, computers, cookers and washing machines will still need to be taken to a household waste recycling site.
