Freedom Leisure pulls out of events at Uckfield Civic Centre

Freedom Leisure which ran events at Uckfield Civic Centre for a trial period has decided against organising them in the future.

A report going to members of the Uckfield Town Council’s environment and leisure committee, which is due to meet on Monday, says the council itself is to continue with a small number of events, which have in the past made a return.

Those organised included Tony Stockwell, who was due to appear on Wednesday night; Jack and the Beanstalk scheduled for Saturday, December 17 and The Hamsters on Sunday, February 26.

At the time the report was written 250 tickets had been sold or reserved for Tony Stockwell and 56 tickets had been sold for the pantomime.
