Plans for ten new Fairwarp homes

Ten new homes could be built in Fairwarp following the demolition of a pair of semi-detached houses.

Two of the new houses would be affordable and there would be a mix of accommodation including one two-bedroom flat, two two-bedroom semi-detached houses, two three-to-four bedroom semi-detached houses, two four-bedroom detached houses and one five-bedroom detached house.

They would be built on the site of Fairmay and Rock-a-Nore in The Street.

The existing access to Rock-a-Nore would be altered to form access to the development while the access to Fairmay would be closed. Widening of the carriageway is also proposed on The Street itself.

Documents submitted with a planning application to Wealden Council say the proposed development "will make better use of previously developed land".
