Uckfield college pleased with GCSE results
A sudden downpour failed to dampen spirits of students at Uckfield Community Technology College who collected their GCSE results this morning.
The college said in a press release that students worked very hard to fulfil their potential, and many were delighted to surpass their expectations.
Seven students achieved more than ten A* and A grades; with 62% of the year group achieving the benchmark 5 A*-C with English and Maths.
Results in English (70% A*-C) and Maths (69%) GCSE were impressive, with 68% of all entries graded C or above.
Principal Hugh Hennebry said "I must say a huge thank-you to the parents, teachers and pastoral leaders that have supported and challenged each individual student to do his or her very best."
Thanks to UCTC for the photographs.
