Man dies in accident at house in Hopfield Gardens, Uckfield
Police called to Hopfield Gardens, Uckfield, yesterday said a 61-year-old man died after being involved in an accident.
The man was named as Mr Graham Jump.
A police statement said the emergency services were called after Mr Jump, who lived in the house, collapsed while working just after 12.30pm. He was given immediate medical treatment but died at the scene about 45 minutes later.
Police said they were not treating the death as suspicious. The Coroner's Officer is continuing her enquiries and a post mortem is expected to be carried out within the next week.
It is understood engineers were examining electrical circuits at the address as part of an investigation.
The fire service, police, South East Ambulance and the Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance attended the incident
The air ambulance landed at the bottom of the playing field at the end of Hempstead Road taking off again at about 2.10pm.
