Buxted Scouts hike to success
Two teams from the 272 Explorer Scout Unit, Buxted, were successful in this year's Operation Triangle night hike; the annual county-wide Scout hiking competition.
Around 20 teams took part in the overnight event which involved navigating a 15-mile circuit.
This year`s hike was in and around the Groombridge area over unfamiliar terrain, with “incidents” along the route.
The teams were Andy Ball, Lucy Langran, Katy Wells and Olly McCarthy, who came first overall, narrowly beating their fellow Buxted Explorer Scouts, Jake Isted, Alasdair Ross, Rachel Moisan,and Maysie Coe.
