Councillors agree to sell land

Uckfield town councillors have agreed in principle to sell land at the entrance to Hunters Way and land at Hughes Way in Uckfield.
The decision was made in private at the end of a meeting of the environment and leisure committee last week.
They also agreed to seek legal advice to establish the principle in each case whereby the town council could 'claw back' any additional value of the land if planning permissions are obtained after purchase.
No further detail was given in minutes of the meeting.
