Lead flashing to be repaired on Uckfield Civic Centre roof
Uckfield Town Council is to repair lead flashing on the roof of the Civic Centre at a cost of £3,000 this financial year.
Members of the council’s general purposes committee have also agreed two external doors leading to the boiler room and store cupboard should be repaired at a cost of £2,000.
Equipment to help with evacuating wheelchair users and others with mobility difficulties from the Civic Centre in the event of fire is to be bought. An Evac-Chair will cost £830.
Additional external work on the Civic Centre is to be delayed along with renovations of toilets.
