Motorcyclist dies in crash at Maresfield near Uckfield
A motorcyclist died in a crash at Maresfield yesterday.
The accident happened at noon in School Hill when the 33-year-old London-based motorcyclist travelling northwest was in collision with a Hyundai Amica hatchback travelling in the opposite direction.
The 59-year old man driving the hatchback and his 55-year old woman passenger, both from Horley in Surrey, were unhurt but the motorcylist died at the scene.
Uckfield firefighters were called to the scene at 2.01pm and helped make the area safe.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: "We asking anyone who saw what happened to contact us via 0845 60 70 999 quoting Operation Lyndhurst.
