New consultant appointed to work on Uckfield Master Plan
A new consultant has been appointed to take the Uckfield Master Plan on to the next stage of preparation.
The news was carried in minutes of confidential business conducted at the last full meeting of the town council held on December 21.
The minutes say: 'It was intended that once contracts had been signed that a press release would be provided in the New Year'.
The previous consultants were GVA Grimley.
Plans for the regeneration of Uckfield town centre went on show at the Civic Centre in October last year.
The town council began work on the master plan in 2007 and were joined other town centre landowners including East Sussex County Council, Wealden District Council and East Sussex Fire and Rescue on the Uckfield Steering Group which commissioned the plans.
