New mayor for Uckfield

New Uckfield mayor is Cllr John Carvey. He was elected at a meeting last night at the town council's annual statutory meeting (Monday, 17).
Cllr Carvey, who lives at Farriers Way, Uckfield, takes over from Cllr Len Ashby, of Downsview Crescent.
Cllr Duncan Bennett, of Framfield Road, was re-elected deputy mayor.
The meeting was held at Uckfield Civic Centre.
