MBE for High Hurstwood farmer and councillor Robert Tidy
High Hurstwood farmer and East Sussex county councillor Robert Tidy has been awarded the MBE in the New Years Honours list.
The award is for services to Local Government and the community.
County council chairman Cllr Chris Dowling who highlighted Sussex winners said: "I would like to congratulate all the East Sussex winners on the awards that they have received. The people being honoured have dedicated their lives to their professions, charities, organisations and local communities in a wide variety of ways."
Cllr Dowling said Cllr Tidy's award was "extremely well deserved".
