More Uckfield snow chaos
Overnight snow has forced schools to close in and around Uckfield.
Roads further north in Sussex are virtually impassable, cutting the link to both Tunbridge Wells and East Grinstead.
Schools closed today include:
Uckfield Community Technology College
Manor Primary
High Hurstwood
Buxted
Nutley
Wealden District Council has called off a full meeting of councillors today. Members were due to discuss the Local Development Framework, which includes proposals for future housebuilding in Uckfield.
Ice and snow has caused the closure of the A26 near Tunbridge Wells.A lorry has also jack-knifed. Traffic is queued on the A22 north of Nutley after a crash.
Rail services from Uckfield are seriously delayed.
