Concern about parking problems in Downsview Crescent, Uckfield
Concern about parking and traffic movements in Downsview Crescent, Uckfield, was raised at a meeting last month.
The Strengthening Local Relationships meeting was held at the Civic Centre and attended by representatives of Uckfield Town Council, Wealden District Council and East Sussex County Council.
District councillor Paul Sparks produced a CD of pictures showing the car parking situation in Downsview Crescent.
They included one of a fire tender having problems accessing the area due to the number of cars parked on the road side.
Minutes of the meeting said: "Unfortunately, there are two schools in a residential road and parking is hampered by the college sixth form being allowed to bring cars to school but not being allowed to park on the college grounds."
County representatives agreed the area should be assessed with a report back to the next Strengthening Local Relationships meeting.
