Cut in opening hours expected at Uckfield Police Station
Uckfield Police Station is set to have reduced opening hours.
The move is part of a county-wide cost-cutting exercise that will see reductions at all stations in Sussex.
At the moment Uckfield is open from 10am to 8pm, Monday to Friday, and from 10am to 6pm on Saturdays.
If the proposals go through, it will open from 10am to 2pm, Monday to Friday.
The proposals will realise substantial financial savings through changing the opening hours at police stations at times where low public demand permits.
