Thousands line Uckfield streets for carnival processions
Thousands lined the streets of Uckfield on Saturday night to watch Uckfield Carnival processions and more than £4,300 was raised for local charities.
Parades began at 7.30pm in Grange Road and were led by Uckfield Bonfire and Carnival Society members wearing their new Mexican costumes. They were joined by floats entered by schools, groups and businesses.
Among those taking part was the Stanley family remembering the late Ray Stanley. They modelled some of the costumes he had worn in more than 40 years involvement with the carnival.
