Funds of £100,000 have been ear-marked to upgrade equipment at the Bellbrook Materials Recycling Depot in Uckfield.
Wealden Council is expanding its recycling collection scheme and the upgrade is needed to handle the additional throughput and maximise income from sales of recyclable material.
"The upgrade would ensure the maximum value from the materials collected and processed," says a report to today's meeting of the Wealden Cabinet.
