Redundant Uckfield funeral parlour to be demolished

Planning permission has been given for a redundant funeral parlour in New Town, Uckfield, to be demolished and replaced with two semi-detached houses.

The building at 11 New Town, owned by C.P.J. Field Ltd, has been empty since permission was given to change the use of neighbouring Rose Cottage, next to Old Timbers Lane into a funeral home.

Wealden Council approved the proposal on Monday, September 20.
