Roadworks on section of A272

Major roadworks are to take place from today (April 26) until Friday on the outskirts of Uckfield.

The A272 from near the Budletts roundabout, at the southern end of Maresfield, to the traffic lights at Five Ash Down will be closed for resurfacing.

This stretch of carriageway, known as Cooper Green Road, was badly damaged by winter’s snow and ice.
