Earth is being moved on the Sandpits site in Lewes Road, Ridgewood, where planning permission has been given to build 60 homes.
Contractors are clearing the land ready to build the access road to the estate. Our picture, below, shows work in progress.
Sandpits, a house built in the 1960s is due to be demolished to make way for the new homes.
The developers are Charles Church.
