Uckfield garden party raises £600 for Cancer Macmillan Support
More than £600 was raised for Cancer Macmillan Support when Katie Aldred and Rachael Berry hosted a garden tea party in Ridgewood, Uckfield, to celebrate the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton.
The sun shone as 130 revellers enjoyed afternoon tea and homemade cakes in a patriotically decorated marquee and surroundings before having a leisurely stroll around the gardens of neighbours Deirdre Turner and the award-winning Rob Crozier.
Children took part in a colouring competition and there was a raffle with prizes donated by local businesses.
Thanks to Katie Aldred for the story and pictures.
