Consultants appointed to review Wealden's tourism strategy
Consultants have been appointed to refresh Wealden District Council's tourism strategy.
Blue Sail is to outline a vision and action plan for tourism development in the district over the next five years to 2015 and 'to establish Wealden as a quality destination for tourism.'
A bulletin to councillors says evidence from the study will assist with the formulation of policies to be included in the Local Development Framework and Core Strategy.
Ten individuals representing the private and public sectors who are members of the Tourism Strategy Steering Group were due to meet yesterday. Their role is to ensure aspirations and projects identified through the process are delivered.
A stakeholder event for businesses is to be held at Prilgrims hall, Easons Green, Halland on December 15 and a final presentation is due to cabinet in April 2010.
