Uckfield tax decision due
Uckfield Town Council’s share of the council tax is set to increase only slightly, if at all.
Councillors will decide on Monday what the figure for the financial year from April will be.
A report to members suggests the council looks at setting a “nil growth” or “modest” budget increase.
Members are told “all local government organisations are being required to significantly curb their expenditure”.
Wealden District Council has already announced it is aiming to keep council tax the same as this year. Report
The final council tax figure is made up of five components: East Sussex County Council (the largest), Sussex Police, East Sussex Fire and Rescue, Wealden District Council and Uckfield Town Council.
