New home plan for Vernon Road

New home plan for Vernon Road

Plans have been submitted for a two-bedroom house to be built on land at the end of a cul-de-sac in Vernon Road, Uckfield.

The land belongs to number 24 Vernon Road and is described in a planning application as 'surplus residential amenity space'.

Vernon Road comes to a dead end at the proposed entrance to the site and public footpath runs up the eastern boundary to Selby Rise.

Documents submitted with the application to Wealden Council by Clearwater Land and New Homes say: "By developing this site we will create a more harmonious urban grain, one that reads more comfortably with the surrounding buildings."

Update:

Saturday, July 3, 2010. This planning application has been approved by Wealden Council.
