Application to renew approval of Uckfield waste paper store

Application to renew approval of Uckfield waste paper store

Wealden Council is applying for renewal of temporary planning approval for a covered waste paper enclosure at the Bellbrook Recycling Centre, Bell Lane, Uckfield.

The store is on the line of the old Uckfield to Lewes railway and because of long term plans for reinstatement of the line only temporary permission was given, in 2004, for the waste paper store.

Documents submitted with the application say plans for the rail line still exist but 'any action on the ground must be a long time in the future and would not be prejudiced by a renewal of the consent for the waste paper store'.
