All change at district council
New chairman of Wealden District Council is Cllr Sylvia Martin and new vice-chairman is Cllr Jonica Fox.
Both were elected yesterday at the annual meeting of the council. Tributes were paid to retiring chairman Cllr Chantal Wilson for her dedication, hard work and enthusiasm for visiting the many parish councils in the district.
Cllr Pam Doodes was elected Leader of the Council and Cabinet members were reappointed to their current positions. Cllr Martin is a ward member for Danehill, Fletching and Nutley. Cllr Fox is the ward member for Cross in Hand and Five Ashes.
