Nutley yurts appeal dismissed
An appeal against refusal of planning permission for yurts at a camping site in Nutley has been dismissed.
Wealden councillors refused permission for the yurts - strong circular tents traditionally used by nomads in the steppes of Central Asia - to be used at Bunters Field in Bell Lane.
They said the yurts were "inappropriate and unjustified" in this remote and unspoilt location within a sensitive landscape setting and a planning inspector has upheld their decision.
