Farewell to Sgt Dave Price
Police marked the retirement of Uckfield's neighbourhood policing sergeant Dave Price with a garden party.
Sgt Price joined Sussex Police in September 1980 and was promoted to sergeant in 1992. He has worked in Worthing, Gatwick, Eastbourne, Polegate, Battle, Seahaven, Haywards Heath and within Wealden in various departments including traffic and custody.
Gifts from friends and colleagues included a Ferrari Driving Thrill experience day, a picture frame relating to his service with Sussex Police, a glass tankard, beer, 30 Chinese lanterns (one for each year of his service) and a cake.
Sgt Price's official retirement date is September 19.
