Uckfield karate boy features on BBC Sussex website

An 11-year-old Uckfield boy is featured on the BBC Sussex website having defied the odds to gain a black belt in katate.

Alex Haynes was born prematurely and has had several operations to help him overcome severe health problems.

He trains at the Sama South East Karate Club at Manor Primary School.
