Niamh chats to TV presenters
Seven-year-old Niamh Bridger, from Uckfield, appeared on ITV's This Morning programme where she talked to presenters Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby about diabetes, the illness she was diagnosed with having when she was two.
Also on the programme was Niamh's mother Trisha who wrote a book for her daughter when she was struggling to come to terms with the disease and treatment.
That book , 'Why can't I fly' has now been published to raise awareness of the disease and raise funds for Diabetes UK. It is on sale in Uckfield shops including Kids Stuff, Limelight, Selbys Pharmacy, Ridgewood Post Office and Gale and Woolgar.
Niamh, who goes to St Philip's School and has a younger sister Ellice, aged four-and-a-half, lives with her family on the West Park Estate. Her father Dan Bridger is manager at City Electrical Factors, Uckfield.
Niamh has danced with the Kirsten Rennie Dance Academy since she was three and swims at the East Sussex National Golf Hotel and Spa.
