Renowned gospel singer comes to Holy Cross School in Uckfield
Internationally renowned gospel singer and choir conductor Karen Gibson returned to Holy Cross Primary School in Uckfield on Friday for a singing workshop with pupils, parents and carers.
Karen first visited the school last year. On both occasions she worked on songs first with the Infants and then with the Juniors. The two groups then performed for each other.
Karen leads many gospel choirs in the South East who have sung to international figures such as the Pope and the Queen.
She is also the founder of the award-winning Kingdom Choir and is nominated for awards such as GMA's Best Contribution to Gospel Music.
Holy Cross teacher and choir leader Mrs Ferris said: "This was a fantastic day, the children really loved the singing. The school looks forward to inviting Karen back in the future as part of their varied and interesting musical focus."
