120 pupils enjoy languages festival at Uckfield community college
About 120 pupils took part in a languages festival at Uckfield Community Technology College.
The festival was held to mark the tenth European Day of Languages which encourages celebration of European and global languages.
Year 7 pupils from the community college were joined by Year 6 pupils from St Philips and Manor primary schools and they experienced a carousel of different languages including Dutch, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Lithuanian, Mandarin, Turkish and Tongan.
Taster sessions involved the students in fun activities and provided them with a flavour of a new language.
