Michael's 13-year-old Audi is immaculate, engine and all
Army training and 30 years of living in Africa combine to make Michael Lee ‘very particular’ when looking after his Audi A3 and so it is a tribute to Kole Cars that he trusts the garage to help him do that.
“Paul humours me,” Michael said about Paul Adjayi, owner of Kole Cars. I’m very particular about who maintains my car and I know he is dedicated to his craft.
“I feel totally comfortable that he takes a personal interest in the work being done. He’s also a very nice man, I like him a lot.”
Michael, executive director of the Pilgrim Hall Christian Conference Centre, at Easons Green, says it amuses his wife Maggie that to this day, as taught by the Army, he keeps the engine compartment of his car clean by wiping around twice a month with a “moist, slightly soapy, rag” to remove grease.
Living in Africa reinforced the determination to look after his vehicles because he didn’t want to break down while on safari, though he does remember the nightmare of once being towed for 250 miles along a dirt road to a garage.
One look at Michael’s 13-year-old Audi A3 shows the care that is lavished on his car. It is immaculate.
He said: “Every summer I get the tyres checked and the wheels aligned and, because I also know that Paul is looking after the engine, I drive with confidence.”
