Financial adviser wins customer service award

An Uckfield financial adviser is celebrating recognition of the high standard of customer service provided by his company.

Private Wealth Management has been awarded Buy with Confidence status by East Sussex Trading Standards.

Mark Robinson, who runs the company, at Maple Barn, Beeches Farm Road, between Uckfield and Isfield, is delighted.

He said: ‘It is very important for us to be seen as a reputable firm acting in the best interests of our clients. It is brilliant that Trading Standards have confirmed that people can Buy with Confidence from us.’

Companies are vetted before being considered for the award. They get Criminal Records Bureau clearance for all staff who work in people’s homes, ensure staff are properly trained for their work and the business responds promptly and correctly to customer complaints.

Mr Robinson helped set up Private Wealth Management in November 2000 and became the principal in April 2005.

The business specialises in life-style financial planning. ‘Most of our clients come to us because they are concerned firstly about running out of money when they retire and secondly not having enough money to retire in the manner in which they want to retire.

‘We take into account the position now and work out what needs to happen between now and retirement to ensure they have the most comfortable retirement possible.’

*Mr Robinson lives in Worthing and is a member of the town’s Chamber of Commerce. His business was a runner-up in the Worthing Micro-Business of the Year section of awards run by Sussex Newspapers.
