Top comedian sends message to Uckfield after Laughter Lounge gig
Top comedian Paul Sinha, a popular performer at the Uckfield Laughter Lounge club last week, has sent a message back to the town.
He told the Picture House, home of the Laughter Lounge: “It was truly a pleasure to perform in such a unique and charming venue. The audience were the right mix of intelligent and hot, and as a result my 40 minutes flew by.”
Paul has performed across the world and is a regular contestant on ITV’s The Chase. Also in the show were Matthew Crosby, fresh from appearing the previous week on Never Mind the Buzzcocks, and Simon Donald, co-founder of the Viz and a respected character comedian.
The Laughter Lounge will be taking a break during January but returns on Wednesday, February 1.
More shows will be held after that on the first Wednesday of every month.
The February acts are expected to be Brian Gittins, Luke Roberts, and Barry from Watford.
Brian is known through appearing in Pet Cemetery with Ricky Gervais and has also worked extensively with Angelos from Shooting Stars.
Luke writes for Radio 4 comedy and is an established treasure on the alternative London comedy scene.
Barry from Watford is best known for his appearances on Radio 2 as the old man who phones in and wreaks havoc.
